Oreste Giusto

Oreste Giusto, 90, of Port Charlotte formerly of Wolcott, CT passed away December 25, 2010. He was born May 11, 1920 in Waterbury, CT to Michele and Philomena (Picarelli) Giusto. He served in the US Army during WWII and worked for Chase Brass and Copper Co as a Metallurgist before retiring. Oreste was an ordained Deacon at St. Lucys Catholic Church, Waterbury, CT and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was a chaplain and Boy Scout Leader in Mattutuck Council for over 40 years and he enjoyed going fishing. Oreste will be greatly missed by his wife of 65 years, Theresa; daughter, Mary (Tom) Guastella of Port Charlotte; son, John (Carol) Giusto of Branford, CT; brothers, Joseph of Pompano, FL and Anthony of Waterbury, CT; sister, Lucy Perillo of Thomaston, CT; grandchildren, Jessica, John, Anthony and Sara and nine great-grandchildren.
