Oliver "Buck" Waldron, 86, of Port Charlotte passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011. As a native Floridian, he was born on May 24, 1925 to Oliver and Hattie (Curry) Waldron in Moorehaven. Buck served in the US Army during WWII and later worked as a local commercial shrimper on his boat called the "Buck-A-Roo." Buck was a family man and if he wasn't on the boat he was spending time with his family. Buck will be greatly missed by his brothers, Newton (June) Waldron and Tommy Waldron; daughter in law, Beth Waldron; grandchildren, Sebrina Norton, Kim Waldron and Amy Parker; ten great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Sharon (Vic) Welsh; step-son, Tom (Shirley) Bear and life long friends, Kenny Andreau and Grant Lowe. A visitation will be 2:00 to 3:00 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2011 with a service to celebrate Buck's life at 3:30 pm at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
