Norma R. Mooney

Norma R. Mooney, 89, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away October 16, 2010. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Marion (Knowles) Mooney, born September 20, 1921 in Middleton, NH. Norma moved to Florida in 1998 from Rochester, NH to be closer to her family. She had a few deep passions in life: her family, whom she adored and enjoyed making cookies for every week; her church, where she took pleasure in the fellowship and Bible studies; and her beloved Girl Scouts, with whom she became life long friends. Norma will be greatly missed by her niece, Diane (John) Roose of Port Charlotte, FL; great-nephew, Shannon (Heidi) Gadbois of Cape Coral, FL; great-nieces, Tasha (Joe) Chalone and Rebecca Talbot of Port Charlotte, FL and great-great, nephews and nieces, Ben, Alex, Katie and Lilly Chalone, Ryan and Thomas Gadbois and cousin, Ruth Hunt of Dover, NH. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Benjamin and Richard Mooney. A memorial service in celebrating Norma's life will be at 3:30 pm, Friday, October 22, 2010 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
