Norma Jean Pierson

Norma “Jean” Pierson, 79, of Port Charlotte passed away November 1, 2006. She was born September 16, 1927 in Payne, Iowa to Cecil and Bessie (Sportsman) Marsh. Jean was the Vice-President of Pierson Construction company with her husband for twenty years in Charlotte County. She moved from Miami, FL to Port Charlotte in 1974 and was of Protestant faith. Jean was a active member in Florida Federation of Republican Women where she enjoyed working and discussing politics and was very successful in business everywhere she worked. Jean will be greatly missed by her husband of 59 years, Bryce ”Bud” Pierson; brother Bill Marsh of Port Charlotte; sister Sandra Snyder of Centerville, Iowa; Sister & brother-in-laws Ernestine (Don) Krull of Port Charlotte, Ruth Ella(Chuck) Sebek of Paris, TN and Marceline (Harold) Mitchell of Napa, CA; nephews and nieces Randy (Beth) Marsh, Robert Marsh, Barbara Marsh, Phil and Randy Krull along with many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Bessie Marsh; brother Robert Lee Marsh, sisters Shirley Jones and Sharon Ann Marsh. The family will receive friends 10:00 - 11:00 am, Saturday, November 4 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with a celebration of Norma’s life to follow at 11:00 am.
