Norma Jean Wollitz died September 5, 2013, in Punta Gorda, Fla. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1931, the daughter of John and Violet (Lovitz) Kish. She married Robert A. "Bob" Wollitz on April 20, 1952. Norma graduated from The Rayen School and worked for General Fireproofing in Youngstown and Buttermaid Bakery in Boardman before raising her children. An accomplished seamstress, she won many blue ribbons at the Canfield Fair for her handmade Raggedy Ann dolls. She loved dogs and made a happy home for many pets. Norma was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Poland and of the U.S. Air Force 19th Bomb Group Association, and enjoyed attending Air Force reunions with her husband, who survives. She also leaves her son, Jack (Barb Woods) Wollitz of Poland, Ohio; daughters, Kathy (Gary) Sipe of Canfield, Ohio, and Jeannie (Bill) Tarka of Brecksville, Ohio. She was the proud grandmother of Betsy Wollitz, Ian Sipe and Jaclyn Sipe. She also leaves her sister, Joycelyn (Parke) Bloyer of Boardman, Ohio. Norma was preceded in death by her parents and son, Allen, who died in infancy. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Life Care Center of Punta Gorda, especially the nurses and aides who cared for Norma during her final years. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, November 11, 2013 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be made in Norma's memory to Alzheimer's research.
