Norma J. Cable

Norma J. Cable, 80, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Spring Valley, N.Y. passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. She was born on April 25, 1934 in Teaneck, N.J. Norma retired with the title of Switchboard Supervisor from her employment at the County of Rockland in New York State. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. Norma enjoyed dinners with family and friends, and cooking and baking for family holidays. She greatly enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Norma particularly enjoyed observing SW Florida nature from her lanai overlooking the Peace River. Norma will be greatly missed by her husband of 62 years, Floyd Sidney; sons, Floyd Steven (HiSu) and Mark Edward (Debra); brother, Louis Vetter; sister, Dorothy Vetter Cable; 2 grandchildren and a very large extended family. A memorial service will be held at 11am, Monday, December 15, 2014 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army.
