Nancy J. Madon

Nancy J. Madon, 75, of Port Charlotte passed away August 10, 2006. She was born May 15, 1931 in Brookfield, CT to Frank and Marjorie (Allaby) Scalzo. Nancy worked as a legal secretary and was a professional singer who went by the name of Nancy Mitchell. Her career started with the Franky Scalzo Trio and included the Sonny Carrol Big Band and Doc Severeson Tour Band. Nancy moved to Port Charlotte from Danberry, CT in 1990. She was a member of St. Maximilian Catholic Church and sang with the Charlotte County Jazz Society. Nancy will be missed by her husband of 35 years, Dick; son Gary Mitchell of Danberry, CT; daughter Terri Lynn Pomery of W. Hartford, CT; and grandchildren Maura, Mandy, Mondy and Kari Lynn. A memorial service in celebration of Nancy’s life will be at 5:00 pm, Thursday, August 17, 2006 at the Port Charlotte Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
