Monica Alexandria Llanos-Fraser was born on November 26, 1937 on the Island of Trinidad and Tobago and later migrated to the U.S, in 1967. She attended Essex county Vocational Tech where she received her LPN diploma. While working as LPN Monica attended the Holy Name Convent in Teaneck, New Jersey where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. In 1987 she moved from New Jersey to Florida where she continued her work as a nurse for many years and truly enjoyed taking care of her patients. Monica joined the First Baptist church of Port Charlotte where she was a beloved member of the choir. She was also a member of the Salvation Army and the Nurses Sorority, Khi Eta Phi. She enjoyed many things in life including; dancing, sewing, cooking, gardening and traveling. You could even hear her whistling a few tunes at times. She had 5 children and 2 grandchildren who proudly served in our military. Monica went to sleep on November 1, 2018. Monica leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her husband, Alfred Fraser; children, Yvonne, Gwendolyn, Ava, Cheryl, Denise Lydia, Christian, Frankie, Michelle, Steve, and Hillary; as well as 26 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren; her sisters, Cynthia Armstrong, Philomena Charles and the late Joyce Jones; including 19 nieces and nephews and many good friends. She will truly be missed by all. A Celebration for Monicas life will be held Saturday November 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte. The family will receive friends and guests at 10:00am for visitation and services will follow at 11:00am.
