Millicent "Millie" Toth

Millicent “Millie” Toth passed away peacefully on July 24th, 2021 with her husband and children by her side.   

Millie, the oldest of four girls, was born in Lorain Ohio, and started her career as a telephone operator for Lorain Telephone Co. She then became the first woman in sales to work in the furniture department of the local Sears. Finding her knack for sales, Millie moved on to work for House of Lloyd winning trips to England, Mexico, and Hawaii. These roles suited her well as she had a larger-than-life personality. If you have ever met Millie Toth, you have never forgotten her. Spending time with family and friends brought her the most joy. She loved camping with her grandchildren, dancing (even winning competitions) with her husband, and playing cards. She was a Red Hat Queen, and enjoyed participating in group events, and lived for cruise trips. Millie was an outgoing individual with a contagious laugh who enjoyed life to the fullest.   

This month, Millie celebrated 65 years of marriage with her husband Joseph Toth. Together they had three children, Debbie (Russ) Brown, Cyndi (Tom) Zimmer, and Joseph (Tracy) Toth.   

She is survived by her husband; children; grandchildren, Lisa (John) Murphy, Jennifer (Nate) Hite, Denise (PJ) Schlosser, Tana Zimmer (Joe Schaefer), Michael Toth, Kaitlyn (Devan) Evanczyk; and great-grandchildren Royce & Carson Schlosser, and Benjamin Murphy. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Mike “Cal” Vignovich; Grandchild William Dudukovich; and Son-in-law Tom Zimmer.  

Her family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Dementia Society of America.
