Mickle Holmes

Mickle T. Holmes, 56 native of Punta Gorda,Fl passed away unexpectedly on Feb 27,2018.He was the son of Lawrence and Beatrice Holmes,Born October 5,1961 in Punta Gorda, Fl. Known by most as "Mikey" and "Homer" he was fun to be around and sure to bring the laughs,The proverbial jack of all trades master of none,he would help anyone with anything, He never met a stranger. He lived with the need for speed,and started racing stock cars at DeSoto Speedway at a young age,raced at many Fl racetracks, and eventually called Charlotte County speedway home,behind the wheel of his #92 machine. Mikey was a long time employee of Charlys Asphalt sealers,and enjoyed spending time with family and friends . He will be greatly missed by his... Children ;Amber, Christina, Tammy, Jeremy "Beau", Richard "Ricky", and Spouse; Janice Family; Barbara, Oscar, Johnny, Dee Dee, Jean-Ann, Florence, Tyler, Jeff, Travis, and Jennifer ; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother's Larry and Bobby. A celebration of Mickle's life will be held at 4-17 speedway (Charlotte County Speedway) on March 18th 2018 at 2:00 pm.
