Michel Durso-Meyn

Michel "Kella" Durso, 86, of Pleasanton, CA formerly of Port Charlotte, FL passed away peacefully Saturday, November 9, 2013 with family at her side. She was the daughter of Carmen and Mary Volturno, born July 6, 1927 in Gibsonburg, OH. Michel moved to Port Charlotte from Ohio in 1978. She enjoyed her long career as a registered nurse both in Ohio and FL. Michel loved traveling, golf, and boating with her late husband Rudy Meyn. Michel will be greatly missed by her six children, Shirley Thornton, JoAnna Durso, Dianne Norquist, Mary Ann Durso, Joe Durso and Frances Vogelheim; brother, Bill Cicanese of FL; sisters, Irene Giarmo of Monroe, MI and Carol Michaels of Fremont, OH; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph "Rudy" Meyn; sister, JoAnne Pizzino and brother, Frank Cicanese. A service will be held at a later date.
