Meikah Nevaeh Heaton

Meikah Nevaeh Heaton, 8 months, passed away July 27, 2009 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. She was the daughter of Michaela Morse and Edik Heaton, born November 10, 2008 in Port Charlotte. Meikah?s sweet smile and beautiful face were just the beginning of the impact she made on people. She was a happy, curious little girl who won the hearts of all of Charlotte County. Her brief life touched all those around her; she brought an entire community together, and did more in 8 short months than most do in a lifetime. She will be remembered for her strength and courage throughout her illness, and for the outpouring of love she leaves behind. Meikah will be greatly missed by her parents, Michaela and Edik; grandparents, Bob and Joyce Heaton, Stan Morse, and Nicole (Terry) Orcutt; great-grandparents, Frank and Gloria Morse, and Harold and Kim Wilkie; aunts, Maggie (Adam) Stohler, Briana Morse, Cheyenne Orcutt, Hayley Ball, Alicia Shields, and Kristin (Chris) Gay; uncles, PFC Bobby Heaton, Bill Morse, JR Morse, Gage Morse, Mitch Silva, Zach Silva, and Justin (Sommer) Wilkie; great-uncle, Larry (Debbie) Wrasse; and great-great-grandparents, Alice (Clayton) LaClair and Lillian Wrasse. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Curtis Rodier. There will be a gathering Friday, July 31st from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, Punta Gorda. The memorial service in celebration of Meikah?s life will be at 2 pm Saturday, August 1 at First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte.
