Matthew E. Schneider, a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, and friend was born on January 20, 1992, in Port Charlotte, FL, and departed from this world on February 21, 2025, in his hometown. He was 33 years old.
Matthew's life was marked by kindness, laughter, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone around him. As a son to Eugene and Cheryl Schneider, he brought joy and pride to his parents in countless ways. His sister, Heather, shared a bond with him that was unmistakable—filled with shared memories and a profound understanding of one another. His cherished memories will forever live on in the hearts of his grandma, Vera Bearden, and many friends who were fortunate to share time with him.
Matthew had an adventurous soul, fueled by his passions for aviation, the great wonders of space, and the outdoors. A proud member of the Young Eagles, he found a profound joy in flying, exploring the skies above with a dreamer's heart. Matthew enjoyed a myriad of activities that allowed him to express his creativity and connect with nature. He was passionate about photography, capturing moments of beauty in the world around him. His love for the outdoors shone through in his hobbies, as he reveled in hiking, camping, and kayaking, cherishing each opportunity to immerse himself in nature’s splendor, especially the garden. He also enjoyed attending car races, listening to music, fine cooking, grilling, and the art of smoking food; always eager to embrace new experiences and share them with those he loved.
Matthew was not just a lover of adventure; he was deeply fond of his furry companions — Buddy, Toufey, and Bramble. They were more than pets; they were his family, providing companionship and unconditional love.
Matthew's legacy of love will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know him. He joins his grandfathers, Robert Bearden and Ivan Swofford, walking together in the light with his best friend, Sabrina the black lab, right by his side.
