Mary R. Toolan

Mary R. Toolan, 86, of Punta Gorda passed away July 2, 2008. She was born February 3, 1922 in Los Angeles, CA to Dennis and Mary (O'Hagan) Winnie. Mary was the wife of a US Air Force Colonel until his retirement after 34 years and moved to Florida. She has lived in this area since 1973 including Emerald Pointe and Emerald Lake. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 32 years. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Mary (Dennis) Clarke of Punta Gorda; sons, Frank (Shirley) Toolan, Jr of Punta Gorda, Mike (Cheryl) Toolan of Wando, SC and Dennis (Carol) Toolan of North Port; brother, Dennis Winnie of Hawaii; sister in law, Sylvia Barnum of Thousand Oaks, CA; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 nephew and 2 nieces. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank and son, John. No services are planned at this time.
