Mary M. Peck, 76, of Punta Gorda passed over to her glory on Monday, Nov 5, 2012. She was the daughter of Wesley and Trudie (Archer) Derrington, born Christmas Day on December 25, 1935 in Paragould, Ark. She met her loving and devoted husband, Don on Easter of 1956 where they danced to "Easter Parade" which was the start of their courtship. They were married and spent 55 years as soul mates, raising a family and loving each other as only soul mates can. Mary moved to Punta Gorda from Michigan in 1990 after retiring from AT&T. She was number 5 on the lung transplant list at Tampa General in 2002 and enjoyed life to the fullest until her recent struggle with kidney disease. Mary loved to travel, enjoyed playing golf with friends and family and really loved to experience new adventures. She will be remembered for her kindness, beauty, love and affection. Mary will be greatly missed by her husband, Donald; daughter, Debra (Glenn); son, Curtis (MaryJane); sister, Estelle; grandchildren, Ross and Adam; step-daughter, Sherrie (Clarence); niece Donna; nephew, Rob and four great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mary's life will be 11:00, November 10, 2012 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
