Mary L. Shaughnessy

Mary L. Shaughnessy, 80, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Haddonfield, N.J. passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017. She was the daughter of James and Lillie Bates, born August 17, 1936 in Camden, N.J. Mary was a member of the C& MA Church in New Jersey and the Methodist Church in Port Charlotte. She enjoyed traveling, painting, flora arranging and cooking. Mary will be remembered as a great wife, mother, grandmother, who enjoyed taking care of her family and grandchildren. Mary will be greatly missed by her husband, Ted; daughter, Susan (Nick) Gargano; son, Ted (Linda) Shaughnessy; brother, Albert (Jean) Bates; grandchildren, Ryan, Michael and Lauren (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Ella and Piper. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James and John. A memorial service will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
