Mary Jo Rude

Mary Jo Rude, 77, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away January 7, 2017. She was a native of Punta Gorda born on May 13, 1939 to Leffie F. and Beaulah Lowe. Mary Jo attended the Church of God of Prophecy. She loved to spend time with her family. Mary Jo enjoyed singing with her sister Delia, they sang at the 100th celebration Centennial of Punta Gorda. Mary Jo will be greatly missed by her daughter, Debbie Jo; brothers, Lum (Joy) and Sim (Barbara); sisters, Ada Mae, Frances (Chuck) and Velma (Ronnie); daughter-in-law, Denise; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie; son, Michael Rude; grandson, Joey; brothers, Pete, Cecil and Ben; sisters, Ruth, Esther and Delia. A funeral service to celebrate Mary Jo's life will be held at 11am, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation. Burial will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery, Punta Gorda, FL.
