Marshall E. Lohr, 78, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away May 21, 2009. He was the son of Edwin and Vivian (Price) Lohr, born March 20, 1931 in Washington, DC. Proudly served as an officer with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC, Lt. Lohr retired after 25 years of service. He and his wife Barbara moved from Rockville, MD to Punta Gorda in 1996. He was a member of the Punta Gorda Elks, retired Law Enforcement Association of Southwest Florida and Association of Retired Police of the District of Columbia. Marshall will be greatly missed by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Elizabeth Lohr of Kensington, MD; son, Robert (Debbie) Lohr of Inwood, WV; step-daughters, Laura (Rich) Roemer of Brookville, MD and Bekki (Glen) McMakin of Clarksville, MD; step-sons, Fritz (Phyllis) Naecker of Ft. Mill, SC and Wesley Naecker of Federalsburg, MD; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM Thurs. May 28, 2009, at Francis J. Collins Funeral Home. Services will be 11AM Friday May 29, 2009 at Francis J. Collins Funeral Home, Silver Spring, MD., with interment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
