Mark J. Long

Mark J. Long, 51 of Port Charlotte, FL passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Peace River Regional Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1962 in Peterborough, England to Richard and Anne Long. Mark moved from Forked River, NJ to Port Charlotte in 2010. He was a member of Edgewater United Methodist Church, Port Charlotte. Mark enjoyed talking to people and was always willing to help out. He had a great sense of humor and thought of his pets as his children. Mark will be missed by his wife of 10 years, Bettysue Bremus Long; step-son, Robert (Amy) Bremus; step-grandson Jack all of Toms River, NJ; step-daughter, Kim Bremus and partner Marissa Griff both of Toms Rivers, NJ; father, Richard J. Long, Sr., of Whiting, NJ; brothers, Richard J.(Mary) Long, Jr., of Lakewood, NJ; twin, Michael (Michelle) Long of Great Falls, MT; sister, Ann (Douglas) Earle of Toms River, NJ. A memorial service will be held at 10am, Saturday, September 28, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Toms River. Memorial donations may be made to American Red Cross SWFL Charlotte Chapter.
