Marie Devlin, 88, of Punta Gorda passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, after a short illness. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and had lived on Long Island before settling in Florida. In earlier years she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting and in later years mahjong and words with friends, though her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. She lived life to the fullest and was always a meticulously beautiful host.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Nicholas Mazzola in 1972 and her second husband, Thomas Devlin in 2004. Marie is survived by her children, Richard Mazzola and his wife, Donna of Nesconset NY and her daughter Carol Beyer and her husband Walter of Wading River, NY. She is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Elache , Michelle Beyer, Walter Beyer, Adam Mazzola, and Alex Mazzola.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Punta Gorda FL.
A second memorial mass will be held on November 30, 2019, at 11 am at Parish of the Holy Cross RCC, Nesconset NY for her family and friends on Long Island.
Interment will be private.
