Marie C. Nickerson

Marie C. Nickerson, 87, of Port Charlotte passed away Monday, August 25, 2014. She was the daughter of Walter L. and Loana Walls, born March 21, 1927. She was a member of the Eastern Star and United Church of Christ. Marie loved to knit and crochet baby clothes and donate them to the Lakota Indian Tribe. She was an avid reader and belonged to a local book club. Marie will be greatly missed by her sons, Wayne (Elaine) Martin, Guy Nickerson, Joseph (Dory) Nickerson and Daniel Nickerson; daughters, Sonna Cameron, Cheryl (Kendall) Brown, Sanda Dizon; sister, Grace Ottone; daughter- in-law, Daria Martin; brother-in-law, Wayne (Marilyn) Nickerson; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and very special friends, Susan (Gary) Whittemore. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dwight Nickerson; sons, John Martin and David Nickerson and sister, Kathleen Moroz.
