Margaret R. Krueger

Margaret R. Krueger, 90, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte. She was born May 12, 1924 in Beaver Dam, Wis. to Jacob and Margaret Kolb. Marge was one of the original "Rosie the Riveter" in WWII and worked as a bookkeeper most of her life. She moved to Punta Gorda in 1999 from Wonder Lake, IL. Marge volunteered for 10 years at Charlotte Regional Hospital and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed life to the fullest with her children and their families and cruised to the Caribbean just two weeks ago with them. Marge will be greatly missed by her daughters, Liz (Jim) Pitt and Chris (John) Hill; son, Jerry (Kay) Krueger; grandson, Jason (Cheryl) Glus; great-grandson, Blake and sister, Gertie Lewandowski. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Earl. A memorial mass will be held at 11am, Friday, January 23, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Punta Gorda.
