Margaret O. Shafer

Margaret Ellie Shafer, 86, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away October 11, 2018. She was born May 14, 1932 in Akron, OH to James and Almeda Opel. She resided in Mecca, Ohio for 35 years before moving to Punta Gorda in 1987. She retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. She loved square dancing and crossword puzzles. Margaret will be greatly missed by her husband Charles of 66 years; nephews, Mark Finch, Shane Finch, Tim Finch and William Finch of Ohio; cousin Lana Opel of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Alice Finch and Ann Schmidt; nephews, James Finch and John Finch.
