Margaret Jane Mcdaid

Margaret J. (nee Curran) McDaid, 77, of Punta Gorda passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011. She was the daughter of Hugh and Lucy (Lumley) Curran, born on August 4, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls Class of 1954, Philadelphia, PA. Margaret worked as a seamstress for Irvin Sterns in Media, PA and in her later years as a CNA with the elderly. Margaret lived in Folsom, PA for 30 years and then moved to Brooksville, FL in 1990 before settling in Punta Gorda in 1992. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed reading and playing computer games. Margaret will be greatly missed by her husband of 56 years, Charles; sons, Charles R "Bud" McDaid, Jr. And David J. (Penny) McDaid; brother, Hugh E. (Lois) Curran; sisters, Mary (Paul) Dougherty and Theresa Moran; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 23, 2011 with a service to celebrate Margaret's life at 11:00 am at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
