Lorraine L. Manuel

Lorraine L. Manuel, 82, of Naples, FL, formerly of Westport, MA and Newport, RI, went to her Lord on January 17, 2017. She was the daughter of John and Alice Ponte, born June 30, 1934 in Fall River, MA. Lorraine was an active member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Naples. She was a giver in life! A master seamstress who managed upscale clothing manufacturing, she got more pleasure out of designing and hand making wedding dresses for new brides in the family. Lorraine will be remembered as a fun and adventurous person; she enjoyed jogging and a healthy lifestyle. Upon retiring John and Lorraine traveled through the United States, Europe and Azores. In her later life she got great pleasure from baking delicious goodies for family, friends, and her son's restaurant "family." She will be greatly missed by her husband of 35 years, John; son, Douglas (Diane) Amaral; brother, David; sisters, Louise and Pauline and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George, Francis and John; sister, Alice. A memorial mass will be held at 11am, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Naples, FL. Please RSVP for reception following services to dougamaral@comcast.net.
