Linda S. Farley

May 7, 1954 — April 10, 2022

Linda Sylvia Farley (Daniels), age 67, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on May 7, 1954, to Thurman and Betty (Imes) Daniels. Linda was raised in Dayton where she met her husband, Ronnie Ray Farley. They were married in Roanoke, Virginia, on October 15, 1977, where they lived for several years before settling down in Richmond Virginia. Eventually, they retired to Punta Gorda, Florida.

Linda Loved being on the ocean with her family she sailed, exploring islands, lighthouses, meeting new people, and making life-long friends and memories. She loved playing with her nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and grandnieces and nephews. She loved to prank others and her giggles were contagious. Those that know Linda best know her steadfast stubbornness and her strength was unmeasurable. Most of all Linda loved being a nana and her favorite place to be is with her family.

Linda is survived by her husband, Ronnie; her son and his wife, David and Tracy Daniels; three grandchildren Charles and his wife Kay Keene, Kayla Daniels, and Jacob Daniels. Two sisters, Carolyn (Ken) Posten, and Betty Elliott (Daniels); Four Brothers James, Roylee (Irene), Kenny (Barb), and Charles Ray (Becky); Many nieces and nephews; and even more grand nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thurman and Betty; a brother, Michael Keith Daniels; and a Sister, Rebecca Marie Turner (Daniels).

She has returned home to our Father in Heaven, where she awaits our reunion.

Linda’s wishes were to be cremated. She wanted a family picnic/reunion for everyone to get together in Ohio. This will be planned for sometime in May.

In the meantime, Ronnie will keep Linda at home with him for awhile.

Ronnie and Linda had plans for an RV trip in May to go to Kayla’s graduation, the Ham feast in Dayton, and then to the Indy 500. That trip will go on with Linda by Ronnie’s side as they’ve done so many times together.

Linda’s ashes will eventually be buried in Roanoke. That date has not been planned.

In lieu of flowers, if you want to make donations you can send to the Make A Wish foundation or Peace River Wildlife Center in Linda’s honor. She loves critters. However, Linda would love for you to just buy your favorite candy, snack, or dessert and enjoy the WHOLE thing yourself! Take a photo of something that reminds you of Linda, or burn a candle. Linda wanted us all to say goodbye or, as I like to say, “See you later” in our own personal ways. Those of us that got to know Linda, know she wanted no fuss made over her and we will all honor her wishes.

David and Ronnie want you all to know they all know how much you love them and Linda. They love and appreciate all the thoughts and prayers from every one of you.
