Linda C. Marks

Linda C. Marks57, of North Port passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011. She was the daughter of Donald and Irene (Smigel) Stanton, born August 14, 1954 in Pittsfield, MA. Linda moved from Cape Cod, MA in 1991 to North Port and was a Social Worker for the State of FL and MA. She was a member of the North Port VFW Ladies Auxiliary and San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port. Linda enjoyed reading and playing golf. Linda will be greatly missed by her husband of 18 years, Mike; mother Irene Stanton of Lee, MA ;step son, Jeffrey (Jen) Marks of Yarmouthport, MA; step-daughters, Michele (Michael) MacDonald of Brewster, MA and Stefanie Doherty of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Donald Stanton, Jr and Robert (Leslie) Stanton both of Lee, MA and Scott (Beth) Stanton of Tyringham, MA; sisters, Pamela (Gerald) Penna of Palm City, FL, Sandra (Michael) Harrington of Pittsfield, MA, Nina (George) Kuslicka of New Britton, CT and Donna (Ivon) Parisi of Terrace Bay, Ontario; 5 grandchildren and 15 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Brenda Stanton. A memorial mass will be at 11:00 am, Friday, October 14, 2011 at San Pedro Catholic Church, North Port.
