Leroy "Lee" Pope

Leroy "Lee" Pope, 94, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014. He was the son of Leroy and Florence Pope, born May 21, 1920 in Anderson, IN. Leroy served for 5 years in the US Navy during WWII as a Flight Instructor. After the war he was a self employed drilling contractor in Denver, CO and retired to Punta Gorda, FL in 1978. Leroy will be greatly missed by his wife, Marion; daughter, Ann (Gale) Smith of Pascagoula, MS; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. No services are planned at this time.
