La-Verne M. Anderer

La-Verne M. Anderer, 83, of Punta Gorda, formerly of Boston, MA passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012. She was the daughter of Edward and Anna (Martin) Reuter, born on May 17, 1928 in Baltimore, MD. La-Verne graduated in 1950 from Salisbury State Teachers College and taught in Baltimore County. She was a lifetime contributor and supporter of animal welfare. Recently, she joined Twin Isles Country Club. La-Verne was an avid sailor and golfer. She took great pleasure developing her musical skills through playing the organ. The family lived in many locations and she volunteered her time in those communities through activities such as teaching Sunday School. La-Verne had a quiet and simple spirit, never seeking the limelight. She was dedicated to keeping her family united and was the glue that held them all together. She will be remembered as a loving partner, wife, mother, and friend. La-Verne will be greatly missed by her husband of 58 years, George; son, David and his wife Carol Anderer; sister, Edna Jenkins and the nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate La-Verne's life will be at 11:00 am, February 6, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church.
