Larry E. Hartman

Larry “Bear” Hartman, 59, of Punta Gorda passed away September 6, 2007. He was born August 24, 1948 in Clark County, Indiana and adopted into the loving home of Curtis and Esther Mae (Young) Hartman. Graduate of New Albany High School. Larry served in the US Army reserves and retired from Porter Paint Company in Louisville, KY after 33 years. He was a cub scout leader, a member of Ohio Valley Bow hunters Club and served on the Board of Trustees for Franklin Township in Floyd County, Indiana. Larry attended First Methodist Church in Punta Gorda and a member of Culbertson Baptist Church in New Albany, IN. His greatest enjoyment was family, fishing, weight lifting and farming. Larry will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Summers Hartman; daughter Michelle (Jerry) English of Lanesville, IN and son Eric (Marcie) Hartman of Georgetown, IN; along with seven granddogs and four grandcats. The family will receive friends 2:00 to 6:00 pm, Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A service will be held in New Albany, IN.
