L. Douglas Buck

L. Douglas Buck, 75, of Port Charlotte passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2011. He was the son of Donald and Faith (Einhouse) Buck, born on October 4, 1936. Douglas served in the US Army as a Paratrooper and Military Police at West Point. He worked in many different trades and moved from Oaklyn, NJ to Port Charlotte in 2003. He was a member of Universal Masonic Lodge #216 Pennsauken, NJ. Douglas was an avid fisherman, sailor, and an electronic/computer hobbyist, a helping hand to many friends, and known for his sense of humor. Douglas will be greatly missed by his son, Andrew (Anna) Buck of Monroe, NY; brother, Marshall Buck of Laurel Springs, NJ; sisters, Alison Denight of Punta Gorda, FL, Sue Buck Gambardello of Braddock, NJ and Patricia Potts of Hi-Nella, NJ and long time companion, Marie Suttles. A service to celebrate Douglas's life will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 14, 2011 at 1st United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to 1st United Methodist Church.
