Kenneth L. Davis, 88, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. He was born on August 16, 1924 to Glenn and Elizabeth (nee Zimmerman) Davis in Cedar Springs, MI. Ken served in the US Army in five different countries during World War II. He retired from Charlotte Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Port Charlotte Seventh-day Adventist Church where he loved singing in the choir, and also with the Liberty Singers. Ken will be sadly missed by Ella, his wife of 66 years; children, Cheryl (Ron) Barber, Carol (Ron) Strack, Gary (Debbie) Davis, and Greg (Karen) Davis; sister, Joyce Hammer, nine grandchildren, and nine great-children. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 6 at 3:00 pm at the Port Charlotte Seventh-day Adventist Church at 2036 Loveland Boulevard, Port Charlotte, FL 33980. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to 3ABN, PO Box 20, West Frankfort, IL 62896 or PCAS, 2036 Loveland Boulevard, Port Charlotte, FL 33980.
