Kenneth "Jack" Shuster

Kenneth "Jack" Shuster, age 77, passed away in his home in Punta Gorda, FL on Monday, October 30, 2014 following complications from cancer. Jack was born on April 10, 1937 in Vandergrift, PA to Kenneth and Eleanor Shuster. Jack graduated from the College of Wooster in 1959 with a degree in Business, followed by a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Siena College. Jack thrived at Wooster playing football and making friends through his fraternity that have lasted a lifetime. In August 1959 he married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth "Betty" Santarelli. The pair settled down in Fredonia, NY with their four children. Jack spent most of his career working in Labor Relations at Allegany Ludlum which eventually became Al Tech Specialty Steel. He retired as Vice President of the company in 1997. Jack was an active man who enjoyed playing golf, tennis, watching football and NASCAR and attending church. His family will remember him as a dedicated, hardworking and loving husband, father and grandfather with a great sense of humor that made everyone in the room laugh. Jack is survived by his wife Betty, his four children; Tracy (Cummings), Kelly (Sasso), Michael and Amy (Allnutt) as well as 12 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ed Shuster. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 W. Charlotte Avenue, Punta Gorda. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to a scholarship fund Jack established at the College of Wooster.
