Katie Whetstone

Katie Whetstone, 84, of Port Charlotte passed Tuesday, December 13, 2011. She was born February 8, 1927 in Racepond, GA to Fred and Nancy (Griffin) Tucker. Katie attended First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte and was a member of Visually Impaired Persons of Charlotte County. She was a volunteer at the Cultural Center in the 1980's. Katie will be greatly missed by her daughter, Kathy (Wayne) Richardson of Port Charlotte; son, Danny (Darleen) Whetstone of North Carolina; grandchildren, Andy (Kim) Richardson of Punta Gorda, Danny (Marilyn) Whetstone of Tennessee, Daynna (Bobby) Mitchell of Maine, Danae (Steven) Ollila of NC and David Whetstone of Tennessee and 18 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held in Panacea, FL. Funeral home in charge Bevis Funeral Home/Harvey Young Chapel in Crawfordville, FL.
