Judith Gail Murphy

Judith Gail Murphy, 75, a resident of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Westmont, PA was received into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Judith (nee Stephenson) was born in Johnstown, PA, graduated from Johnstown High School (Class of 1961) and married her high school sweetheart, Jerry L. Murphy, of Windber, PA. She worked as a Medical Coder for Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown and Windber Medical Center. She enjoyed time with friends and was an active member of the community at Park Hill Estates. She attended Faith Lutheran Church in Punta Gorda and enjoyed Bible study at Souls Harbor Church of God. She delighted in visiting her daughter and son-in-law in Rochester, NY and her grandson and granddaughter-in-law in Cambridge, MA. Judith is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Jerry L. Murphy (10/22/2014), her brother George B (Sonny) Stephenson (3/31/2015) of Granbury, TX and beloved sweetheart, Jim D. Linthicum (1/17/2018) of Tiffin, OH. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Christine (Brian) Avila-Smith, grandson Brandon (Mariah, nee Savoie) Avila, and brother-in-law, Frank Berkey (Betty Stehl). A Homegoing Celebration for friends and family will take place late 2019 or early 2020 at Park Hill Estates in Punta Gorda, FL.
