Joyce K. Whipple

Joyce Whipple, 79, of Punta Gorda passed away February 10, 2009. She was the daughter of Storm and Meta (Sterling) Kilts, born June 16, 1929 in Binghamton, NY. Joyce was a Registered Nurse before retiring in 1991. She moved to Punta Gorda in 2000 from Kirkwood, NY and was a member of Congregational United Church of Punta Gorda and East Side Congregational Church in Binghamton. She was involved with the Women's Fellowship at the church as well as a member of the Eastern Star. Joyce will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, Robert E. Whipple; daughters, Sharon Youmans and Linda Kamperman, both of Loveland, OH; sons, Robert G. Whipple of Tunkhannock, PA and Jim Whipple of Old Forge, PA; brother, Sterling Kilts of Chenango Forks, NY; and six grandchildren. The service in celebration of Joyce's life will be at 10:00 am Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Congregational United Church.
