Joseph Ring

Joseph (Joe) Ring, age 87, peacefully passed away on December 19, 2024.

He will be buried beside his wife Josephine in the Sarasota National Cemetery.

Joeseph is survived by his loving daughters Joann (Matthew) and Jody (Michael) and Grandsons Fred, Jeremy and Michael. Great Grandsons Elijah and Kai.

Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY to William and Sarah. Joe was the youngest of his siblings - Sally, Marge, Carol and Frederick, all predeceased him. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army in Alaska before it was a US territory. After an honorable discharge, he returned back to Queens, NY. He met his loving wife and best friend of 60 years at a traffic light on Cross Bay Blvd. Joe worked as a mechanic and then with his father-in-law at Plaza Beverages, which later became Kirsch Beverages, and then Canada Dry and after another acquisition he retired from Pepsi Cola in 1999. 

In 1999, Joe and Josephine decided to build their home in Seminole Lakes in Punta Gorda, FL where they made many friends. They enjoyed traveling, being with friends, playing cards and dinners out. Joe was a 4th degree Knight in The Knights of Columbus.

A viewing will be held at The Life Celebration Center of Punta Gorda on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 4–7pm.

Funeral service will be held on December 31, 2024, at 11 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Punta Gorda with burial at Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Parkinson’s Foundation or The Human Society of the United States.
