Joseph A. Macchia, Jr., 77, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on March 4, 2021. He was born on July 25, 1943, to Joseph Sr. and Josephine (Horn) Macchia in Jackson, MI. Joseph relocated to Punta Gorda in 2012 from Jackson, MI after retiring as the Vice President for Advance Turning Manufacturing. He attended Burnt Store Presbyterian Church.
Joseph enjoyed singing and riding his bike with buddies in Burnt Store Colony. He especially loved taking the time to throw newspapers closer to the doors of his neighbors, all while singing or whistling a tune. Joseph was adored and loved by everyone.
Joseph will be deeply missed by his wife of 38 years, Fannie; son Tony of Concord, MI; stepsons Chris (Tayna) Lingo and Curt (Sheila) Lingo; brothers John A. (Norma) of Naples, FL and Michael D. (Julie) of Horton, MI; sister Gina Maria Macchia of Jackson, MI; 4 grandchildren Sam, Alexis, Justin, and Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Guy.
