Jonathan Fry is the son of James and Maureen Fry, born July 28, 1992 in Euclid, OH. From an early age, Jonathan trusted in Jesus as his Savior, and continued to trust in Him despite his disability. Having been diagnosed with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 3, Jonathan never let his disability keep him from setting and reaching goals. He completed high school and earned his Associate's degree; he enjoyed writing, and authored two novels; he shared his deep faith in God through his blog, "Jonathan's Perspective;" and continually invited his Facebook friends to accept Jesus' gift of salvation. That was his greatest goal and desire, that everyone he reached out to would put their trust in Jesus just as he had. Jonathan stayed involved in ministry as much as he was able, working in AWANA and coaching Upwards Basketball; he was someone the kids looked up to. He loved spending time with family and friends at Walt Disney World, watching the Green Bay Packers and UCF Knights, and playing video games. His smile and love for life and Jesus were infectious. Jonathan ran into the arms of his Lord on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the age of 26. He will be greatly missed by his parents, Jim and Maureen; aunts, Karen Brown, Pat (Bill) Kellner, Jane (Dave) Horgan, Dorothy (Andy) Arena, and Peggy (Bob) Stimac; uncles, Chris (Judy) Maloney, Bob (Laura) Maloney, and Paul (Judi) Maloney; many cousins; best friend, Erik (Jenna) Colleen; and many friends at First Baptist Church.
