John Pretto

John Pretto, 86, of Punta Gorda passed away January 13, 2006. He was born November 30, 1919 in Italy to the late Anton and Adelaida (Spagnolo) Pretto. John served in the Army during WWII. He retired from Electronics Manufacturing and moved to Punta Gorda in 1982 from Chicago, IL. John was a member of the Ferrari Club of Sarasota, Seminole Lakes Country Club and Punta Gorda Boat Club. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 58 years, Jean; daughter Susan Pretto of Punta Gorda; son Anthony Pretto of Palatine, IL; sister Mary (Jack) Wolf of Jacksonville, FL. A memorial service in celebration of John’s life will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 18 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
