John P. Bittner

John P. Bittner, 86, of Port Charlotte passed away December 14, 2009. He was the son of Paul and Marie (McMillen) Bittner, born April 26, 1923 in Chicago, IL. John served in the US Navy as a pilot during WWII. He came to this area in 1993 from Chicago and worked as a publisher for a trade magazine for the heating and plumbing industry before retiring. John enjoyed playing golf and going fishing. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy, sons, Bruce (Ellen) Bittner of Bartlett, IL and Scott (Laura) Bittner of Minneapolis, MI; grandchildren, Katie, Stephanie, Kathleen and John.
