John L. Anderson

John L. Anderson, 76 of North Port FL passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Born January 12, 1939 in Chicago, IL and moved to Florida in 1981. He retired from the postal service in 1993 after 32 years of service both in Des Plaines, IL and in Punta Gorda. When he retired from the Post Office, he worked numerous jobs to stay busy and made new friends each time. His passion was traveling around the globe and spending time with family. During the past year he traveled extensively with his newfound partner Barb, whom brought him great happiness. He was the proud father of Julie (David Schoemaker), Bob (Judy), Mike (Laurie), Andy (Stacy), and Robin (John Pashcke). Cherished Papa to 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Helen "Pat". Services will be held on November 15, 2015 at 1 pm at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, Punta Gorda.
