John J. Faith Jr.

John J. Faith Jr., 91, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away November 24, 2018. He was born December 2, 1926 in Arnold, PA to John J. Faith Sr. and Sara Elizabeth Faith (nee McGinnis). He served with the U.S. Navy during WWII, and later studied electronics under the G.I. Bill, graduating from the Industrial Training Institute of Chicago in 1948. John married Joyceline "Joy" Faith of Schenectady, NY on October 12, 1954, and they eventually settled in Levittown, PA. He was a loving father to Amy Faith-Shell (married Jerry Shell in 1991) of Braden River, FL and John J. Faith III (married Susan Twardus in 2010) of Philadelphia, PA, and uncle to Pam Gartley Boldt of Lexington, KY and Carole A. Ashbaugh Gallo of Mt. Lebanon, PA. Over a 43-year career, he held several technical, administrative and management positions at General Electric in Schenectady, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Valley Forge, PA and Princeton, NJ. He retired in 1991 and eventually moved to Port Charlotte, FL in 1991. He spent 37 summers at Tamerlane Campground in Ocean View, NJ.
