John G. Daniele

John Gregory Daniele was the son of Louis and Virginia (Varilla) Daniele, born February 7, 1969 in Bristol, Pennsylvania. John was a carpenter and moved to Port Charlotte, Florida from New York in 1978. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and enjoyed coaching his kid's soccer teams. He was a big fan of Pearl Jam and would usually be found wearing his Pearl Jam T-shirts. John passed away May 23, 2008 at the age of 39 after a 2 year battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 13 years, Cathy; children, Ashley and Samantha Ruff and Christopher and Jacob Daniele, all of Port Charlotte; father Louis Daniele of Sarasota; brothers, Joe Daniele of Sarasota and Larry Piediscalzo of Port Charlotte; sisters, Michele Daniele of Sarasota, Theresa Henry of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Barbara Rook of Levittown, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Tommy Piediscalzo. The service in celebration of John's life will be at 4:00 pm Friday, May 30, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Punta Gorda. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, 1144 Veronica St, Port Charlotte, FL 33952 or the American Cancer Society, 992 Tamiami Trail, Unit C-2, Port Charlotte, FL 33953.
