John F. Lindberg

John F. Lindberg, 73, of Punta Gorda passed away December 17, 2006. He was born June 16, 1933 to John W and Florence (Multroph) Lindberg. John served in the US Army as a map compiler in Germany. He worked as a product engineer for Burnham Corp in Lancaster, PA before retiring in 1996. He was a member of New York State Masons and Platinum Point Yacht Club. John will be remembered as the “mayor” in all the communities in which he lived New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. He will be remembered for his love of sharing his tools and expertise with his friends and neighbors. John will be greatly missed by his wife of 43 years, Kathleen; daughters, Linda (David) Greene of Fishers, Indiana and Lisa (Mark) Swanson of Oldsmar, FL; brother, Bert (Sally) Lindberg of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren Aubrey Green and Jarret Greene, a nephew Paul Lindberg and niece Susan Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Lindberg. A private family service will be held at a later date.
