John F. Laughlin

John F. Laughlin, 72, of Port Charlotte passed away Monday, May 27, 2013. He was the son of George and Pauline (nee Chappel) Laughlin, born August 30, 1940 in Midland, Michigan. John served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War where he did two tours. He worked for Pontiac Motors for 15 years. He took early retirement in 1989 and moved to Florida from Clarkston, MI. John worked for Walmart at the Kings Highway store. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge in Port Charlotte, and enjoyed fishing, watching sports and traveling. John will be greatly missed by his sister, Jeanette (Norman) Dukarski of Midland, MI and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Carol Cummings, and brother Howard Laughlin. No services are planned at this time.
