John E. Schmidt

John E. Schmidt, 70, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away Sat. October 17, 2015. He was the only child of Jacob and Treva Schmidt and raised by Lenore and Emery Rostofer, born October 7, 1945 in Findley, OH. John was a retired Journeyman Electrician and an active member of Kings Highway Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. John loved music, played the bass guitar, and enjoyed being a DJ for Karaoke. One of his favorite pastimes was cruising by Carnival cruise line and taking their scuba diving trips. John will be greatly missed by his son, Aaron Schmidt and grandchildren, Isabella and A.J. A celebration of life will be held at 3pm, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Kings Highway Congregation, 1261 Rutledge St. North Port.
