Joann Lee Wedell

JoAnn Lee Wedell, 74 of Punta Gorda, FL., passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018. She was born March 11, 1944, in Kenosha, WI., to Earl and Daisy Lee. JoAnn moved to the area in 1969 and was an active member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, FL. She was an avid reader and proudly expanded and continued to maintain the library for Eastside Baptist as well as working with the WMU. JoAnn was devoted in her faith and her immense love for her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Paul H. Wedell Jr. JoAnn will be greatly missed by her daughters, Deanna Rose; Lori (Steve) Bandler; son, Michael A. (Ursa) Wedell; stepdaughters, Susan Wedell; Teresa George; brother, Jim (Sharon) Lee; sister, Sandra (Phil) Halaquist; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Eastside Baptist Church, 6220 Golf Course Blvd. Punta Gorda, FL. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to Eastside Baptist Church or to Tidewell Hospice of Port Charlotte.
