Joan Damato

Joan P. Damato, 75, of Punta Gorda passed away December 27, 2010. She was the daughter of George and Helena Hazel (Farrell) Still, born May 3, 1935 in Norwalk, CT. Joan lived in Brookfield, CT for more than 30 years before moving to Punta Gorda in June of 1997. She was a homemaker who took great joy in taking care of her family and home. She was a member of St. Marguerite Catholic Church in Brookfield, and San Antonio Catholic Church in Deep Creek. Joan will be greatly missed by her husband of 56 years, John Damato; daughter, Patricia (John) Berglund of Vernon, CT; son, John (Erin) Damato, Jr of Danbury, CT; sister, Helene Gianfranceschi of Danbury, CT; and grandchildren, Jason, Rachel, Brandon, and Kendall. The service in celebration of Joan's life will be 11:00 am Monday, January 3, 2011 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
