Jimmy Lee Emmons, 66, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away April 25, 2008. He was born February 12, 1942 in South Bend, Indiana to Robert and Ellen Emmons. Jimmy served as a Lance Corporal in the US Marine Corp from 1960 to 1964. He worked as a Corporal for the South Bend Indiana Police Department between 1967 to 1982 and was presented with a key to the city for his extensive work in many departments including 8 years of undercover work. Jimmy moved from South Bend to Punta Gorda in 2001 to enjoy fishing in the sun during his retirement. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Connie; son, James of Wesley Chapel, FL; daughter, Michelle of Port Charlotte; brother, Jack of South Bend, IN: grandson, Sean of Wesley Chapel, FL and granddaughter, Amber of Port Charlotte. Services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 992 Tamiami Trail Unit C-2, Port Charlotte, FL 33953.
